Marrakesh, Morocco مراكش‎‎

ⴰⵎⵓⵔⴰⴽⵓⵛ

The final stop on the Mega Trip was Marrakesh. The first day we explored the Jardin Majorelle, a botanical garden owned by Yves Saint Laurent until his death in 2008. We also got lost in the tiny alleys in the Jemaa el-Fnaa, the marketplace in the medina (old city.) Our evening was spent watching the storks return to their nests at sunset from the Kosy Bar.

Day two was spent seeing the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a former Islamic school and the largest in all of Morocco. Next was the Bahia Palace. Last, we visited the Saadian Tombs, containing the remains of members of the Saadi Dynasty which reigned from the mid 1500s to the mid 1600s.
